"Lucky Town" (1992)

Apart from this post, now Demonfit, the unfortunate continuation of my adventures in Ultratrail de les Fonts.
and we entered on another disc to the Chief. After putting circles around "Human Touch" in the last chapter of the series, necessarily had to follow with another album that was released simultaneously "Lucky Town." strange twist of history and do not know which strategy, not make sense. A double itself, not two separate disks. In fact, many years ago that Bruce did not sell so little, I guess the quality of the material and the simultaneous publication.
Anyway, it served for something: even keep up the faith. If the only material that we had was that of "Human Touch", 'd given up forever to Bruce. However "Luchy Town" is a very decent album, ten songs without being a masterpiece, manitienen the level that is required of the author.
After many months working on "Human Touch", Bruce is withdrawn to their barracks a few weeks to make one last song hook that, in theory, be able to round out an album that was born and died. Brings back fifteen songs in a different spirit, which form a unit and to choose ten to publish a different disc, "Lucky Town."
Except the battery and a keyboard, Bruce plays all the instruments at home. Sound much more basic and raw than his brother but either as a result, more intense and authentic. It is simple rock and roll.
Bruce just had a child and that is evident in the work. Although traces of social issues such as the Gulf War or the riots in Los Angeles, is an album that reflects on the life of the author. Is optimistic. Talk about a present hope. Fatherhood makes it a different person. There is the strong "Living Proof" to attest to the miracle of life.
The powerful "Better Days" opens the disc and the initial message says it all. This song also opened the concerts of the tour, a tour which will miss The E Street Band. Bruce recalls fun a massive billboard in Barcelona where he is asked: "Where is the E Street Band?" . The "springtinianos" do not forget.
"My soul disappeared as I sat listening
hours and minutes from
Yes, sitting there waiting to start my life
while all scurried
'm tired of waiting for tomorrow comes
or that train displayed roaring
I have new clothes, a beautiful red rose
and a woman who I can call my friend
are days better, baby, yeah, better days shining
are better days with a girl like you. "
The ballads are very good. " My Beautiful Reward ", other reference to paternity, closes the disc but Yet there is a very inspired, "If I Should Fall Behind," an emotional statement love despite the difficulties. I leave the subtitled version is sung by various members of The E Street Band, several years later. An emotional sort of reconciliation of friends who walk together forever.
This record, citing the issue of "Nebraska" is reason to believe. The hope is still alive. In the future let us down but equally, we will continue to provide great joy.
